Privacy policy

We collect what it takes to sell you a part and get it to you, and nothing for its own sake.

What we collect

  • Orders. Your name, email, phone, delivery and billing addresses, and what you bought, so we can fulfil, invoice and support the order.
  • Account. If you create one: your name, email, a hashed password, saved addresses, saved vehicles, and your order history. Saved cards are held by Stripe, not by us.
  • Support. What you send us by email, phone or the on-site assistant, so we can answer and keep a record of the conversation.
  • Technical. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept briefly for security and to keep the site running.

Text messages and your choices

When you request NSPEC PERFORMANCE texts, we collect your mobile number, selected message categories, the consent wording shown to you, and signup and confirmation timestamps. We retain opt-out records to respect your choice. A signup request alone does not activate a subscription; you confirm from your phone when SMS is available.

Support and order updates and marketing are separate optional choices. Providing your phone at checkout does not enroll you in marketing. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms & Conditions and text signup page.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We use Twilio to deliver and receive texts and Cloudflare to protect the signup form and store consent records. These providers process information on our behalf to operate the service, not for their own marketing.

Support SMS message content is retained for up to 180 days in our staff inbox. Security codes are not added to that inbox or forwarded to staff phones. For text verification, we store your verified number and consent version, confirmation time, and protected code hashes. Code-attempt records are removed after seven days; the verified number remains until you remove text verification. We retain delivery metadata and staff activity records for support and security. Consent and opt-out records are kept as needed to demonstrate your choices and honor suppression requests. To request access, correction, or deletion, email support@nspecusa.com. We may retain a minimal suppression record to prevent further messages.

Cookies and browser storage

We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage, for the site to work: a sealed sign-in cookie when you are signed in, a cookie that remembers the vehicle you are shopping for, and browser storage for your cart and, when signed out, the vehicle in your garage.

Delivery settings can remember a ZIP code or an address for shipping estimates. An address is stored in an encrypted cookie for up to 30 days. You can remove it through Delivery settings by choosing “Continue without a destination.” Your checkout address is confirmed separately.

Google Analytics is on by default unless you turn it off in this browser. Google receives product identifiers, product views, cart additions, purchase quantities and values, a pseudonymous transaction identifier, browser/device information and an analytics cookie identifier to help us improve the catalog. We do not send names, email addresses, delivery addresses, payment details, account-page URLs or receipt links. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled. You can turn analytics off through Analytics settings in the footer; turning it off stops future measurement and clears our Google Analytics cookies. Google may process this data outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment form for fraud prevention.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe, to take payment. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers.
  • Delivery partners, to calculate shipping estimates using your destination and to ship your order using your name, address and phone.
  • Google Maps, when address suggestions are enabled, receives the address text you type and your selected country to suggest matching addresses. We do not send your name, email, phone, or cart for these suggestions. You can also enter your address manually. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Zippopotam.us receives your US ZIP code to look up its city and state, or your city and state to suggest ZIP codes. We do not send it your name or street address.
  • Hosting and email providers that run the site and send order emails on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Account details are kept while the account is open. You can close your account from account security, and we will anonymise the personal details on it while keeping the order records we are required to hold.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can end any session from your account's security page. Email us and we will act on it within 30 days. Residents of some states and countries have further rights under local law; we honour them on request.

Children

This store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
